"IMAGO - Christian Art Today" takes place in the context of a project of the Archdiocese of Vienna, aiming at giving more importance to Christian art in the life of the Catholic Church. The purpose is to stress again the nature of Christian art and its proper value, which the Church has always seen in the praise of the Lord; thus the important responsibility of Christian art in the field of proclamation must be taken on more forcefully and be newly emphasized.
